Buro Bruno is een veelzijdig ontwerpbureau, opgericht door Bruno van Hooijdonk in 1998. Na zijn studie aan ARTEZ in Arnhem is Bruno direct voor zichzelf begonnen. Compromisloos en schurend aan de randen van vormgeving en kunst.

Bruno bewerkt het platte vlak tot een ruimtelijk ontwerp. Het gaat daarbij om de overgang van de ene dimensie naar de andere en niet zozeer het begin of eindpunt. Hij brengt feitelijk de platte vorm in beweging (of delen daarvan), net zo lang totdat het is wat het moet zijn. Door de dynamiek van het proces, blijft de beweging in het ontwerp voortbestaan en ontstaat er een niet eenduidig en niet statisch eindproduct.

Bruno transforms a flat surface into a spatial design. More important is the transition from one dimension to another and not so much the start or end point. He actually transfigures the flat shape (or parts of it) into motion, until it is what it should be. Due to the dynamics of the process, the movement in the design continues to exist and creates an unambiguous and non-static end product.
